GEW UV Engineering is pioneering versatility in LED/UV curing across industries

GEW, a global leader in ARC UV LED curing systems, is often associated with the narrow web industry. However, its innovative solutions span far beyond, serving the commercial printing, woodworking, offset and metal applications industries.

Visitors can experience GEW’s latest technologies at SArepco stand A9 in hall 7.

SArepco can share the various GEW’s offerings: ‘GEW’s AeroLED2 and LeoLED2 redefine what’s possible in LED UV curing technology. With advancements in energy efficiency, flexibility and reliability, these systems are a game-changer for our industry.’

The AeroLED2 is GEW’s latest air-cooled UV LED curing system, designed for label and mid web applications up to 70cm wide. Offering a 30% increase in LED/UV dose (170mJ/cm²) and a 40% boost in UV irradiance (26W/cm²) compared to its predecessor, it’s a powerhouse for full-cure printing, coating and converting applications.

Notably, the GEW RLT AeroLED2 is ArcLED-compatible, allowing customers to switch seamlessly between UV arc and LED. Its centralised fan eliminates the need for integrated electronics in individual lamp heads, reduce running costs and enhancing reliability. This system also enables energy savings of up to 55% compared to traditional UV arc systems, freeing up electrical capacity for additional machinery.

GEW emphasises the AeroLED2’s value: ‘The energy efficiency and process stability AeroLED2 offers are unparalleled. It’s not just about saving costs; it’s about creating sustainable, future-ready operations.’

For the most demanding curing tasks, GEW introduces the LeoLED2. This water-cooled system delivers an impressive UV irradiance of 44W/cm², a 55% increase in electrical power and a 50% increase in UV dose compared to its predecessor. Its flexibility, with cassette and compact versions, allows seamless integration into any press setup.

GEW’s systems embody innovation and reliability. Businesses can optimise their processes while embracing sustainability.
