Masale Manoko is the Sustainability Manager for Southern Africa region with over 12 years’ experience in the chemical waste management sector pioneering successful initiatives which have positively affected the Circular Economy. He is currently responsible for driving the sustainability agenda at Tetra Pak by leading recycling solutions for post-consumer beverage cartons in partnership with leading recycling companies across the region. Masale has been in leadership positions at the largest waste management and recycling companies with national responsibilities spanning across South Africa. Masale holds a MSc degree in Chemical Engineering and is currently a PhD candidate focusing on valorization of paper waste sludge. Masale has been actively involved in the recycling value chain and is deeply involved in the development and implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes in collaboration with public and private sectors in South Africa.
