Made in SA, for SA: World-class solutions for local energy challenges

Time: 10h30 – 11h00

For South Africa’s packaging, production and manufacturing sectors, the unique challenges of the country’s uncertain energy landscape have added another dimension to their green energy journey. Reaching net-zero goals now parallels the need for energy self-sufficiency and finding cheaper forms of electricity as more and more operations need to balance their green ambitions with their operational goals.

Local businesses need solutions designed to solve local challenges. Innovation within South Africa’s renewable energy landscape has opened the door to power possibilities for these key industries.

Introducing Electricity 2.0: SolarAfrica’s suite of virtual power solutions. We’ll take you through how the increasing energy uncertainty is affecting businesses and how combining traditional, on-site and virtual power can help future-proof your operations. We’ll provide a practical example on the immense cost-saving potential of Electricity 2.0 for your business and give you the opportunity to connect with our Energy Experts at our stand to explore how it can work for your operations.

He comes from a sales and business development background spanning 15 years, having started in the healthcare sector. Sakhile later transitioned to the energy sector, aiding businesses in the SADC region to meet their energy efficiency targets through the implementation of energy and utilities management frameworks.

He was also brought on board at South Africa’s leading EV charging infrastructure platform to develop and roll out a business development strategy for public fast chargers across South Africa. Sakhile joined SolarAfrica in October 2021 where he specialises in product development, specifically solar and battery energy storage, together with guiding the positioning of SolarAfrica’s renewable energy solutions.
